A truck and trailer unit has rolled on SH1 1km north of Tirau. The truck left the road and hit a bank. No other vehicles were involved. The driver is status 1 and has been taken to Waikato Hospital. The serious crash unit is in attendance.
The following diversions have been put in place. Heading north SH1 onto SH27 onto SH29 then back onto SH1
Heading south it is the opposite route.
It is expected diversions will be in place for some time yet as the truck needs to be removed and it’s load cleaned up.
